Police have launched a murder investigation following a fatal stabbing of a woman in Camden.

Police were called last night at 11:13pm (Sunday, 8 September) following reports of a stabbing on Belmont Street, NW1.

Officers found a woman, believed to be aged in her early 20s, suffering from a stab injury. Despite the fact that they immediately provided first aid until the arrival of the London Ambulance Service the woman was sadly pronounced dead at the scene at 11:55pm.

The victim’s identity is known and next of kin have been informed as police are confident of knowing her identity.

Two other women were also found with slash injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.

A 35-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is in custody at a north London police station police have revealed.
