A man aged in his thirties was struck with a hammer which resulted in a fractured skull. He was then pushed onto train tracks at All Saints DLR Station.

The incident took place last night, a man in his 30s has been left with a fractured skull. British Transport Police have released images of a man that could help with their investigation.

The man was able to run over to the other platform and escape the attacker, but he fled All Saints station with serious injuries. Thankfully, despite the attack, the victim’s injuries are not being described as life-threatening at this stage.

Detective Superintendent Nick Sedgemore, of the British Transport Police, said: “Clearly this is a very concerning attack. Enquiries have been underway since it occurred to locate the suspect and understand his motive.”

“We ask anyone who knows the identity of the man pictured to get in touch.”
