Two people have been arrested and are being questioned by police for setting a train on fire in Hayes Train Station. 

The train was set on fire at Hayes train station in December last year and police are investigating suspected arson.

Two people have been arrested this morning. The genders and ages of the two people arrested have not yet been released by British Transport Police. They remain in police custody at this time.

In a statement they said: “Two people are in custody this morning under suspicion of arson after a Southeastern train was set on fire at Hayes, Bromley in December 2019.

“After a joint investigation with our colleagues in CID, both suspects were located and arrested by the South East Disruption Tasking Team.”
