Three police officers were injured last night following the UEFA Champions League Semi-final clash between Tottenham and Dutch side Ajax.

Football supporters launched glass bottles and cones at each other in the middle of High Road as passers by took shelter.

Scotland Yard say three police officers have been injured. Police officers intervened and arrested four people.

An eyewitness told the Daily Star: “I was just walking to Tottenham Hale Station and heard some glass shatter and looked up to see these fans just yelling at each other.

“I looked around and didn’t see anyone other than some people wearing yellow jackets by the ‘Tottenham Hale Station’ screen in the video.

“I couldn’t tell if they were police or stewards from the stadium.”

Five other arrests were also made prior to the game kick off. Spurs went on to lose the game 0-1 and have to defeat Ajax in the second leg to advance to the final of the tournament.
