Met Police reports confirm that Three people have now been charged with fraud offences relating to the Grenfell Tower fire in 2017.
The allegedly offending people are Carmel Daly, 49, Robert Kenneally, 51, and Daniel Steventon, 37. The police news release states –
“It is alleged that all three purported to be residents of Grenfell Tower at the time of the fire and received accommodation and financial assistance.”
All three have been bailed and are now due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on 21st May 2019.
The Grenfell Tower remains still stand following a severe fire in June 2017 in which 71 people sadly lost their lives. Police and fire services believe the fire was started by a malfunctioning fridge-freezer on the fourth floor
