The man who was stabbed yesterday afternoon on St Paul’s Way, Mile End has sadly died overnight in hospital Police have confirmed.
A Scotland Yard spokesman said: “Police were called at around 1630hrs on Sunday, 26 May, to a stabbing in St Paul’s Way, E3. Officers attended along with London Ambulance Service and found two men suffering stab injuries. One of the victims, a 23-year-old man, had suffered multiple stab wounds.”
“Sadly, he was pronounced dead later that night.The second victim, aged 25, remains in hospital. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.An investigation has been launched. Officers are working at the scene and cordons are in place. There has been no arrest in relation to the stabbings at this stage.”
The recent bout of stabbings on London’s streets this year have already seen THIRTY ONE people stabbed to death just in London since the start of 2019.
A large crime scene remains in place in the area.
