Met Police have launched a murder investigation following a fatal shooting in Kentish Town.

Police were called by the London Ambulance Service shortly before midnight last night (Sunday, 8 September) to reports of a shooting on Malden Road, NW5.

Police state that a man, believed to be aged in his 20s, was found suffering a gunshot injury and was pronounced dead in the early hours at the scene at 00:10hrs on Monday, 9 September.

They continue “His next of kin are yet to be informed. Formal identification has not yet taken place”

A post-mortem examination will be scheduled in due. At this early stage, there have been no arrests and enquiries continue.
