There was major issues on the Victoria and Piccadilly lines earlier this morning after smoke was reported on platforms at two stations as seen by commuters.
Finsbury Park station was evacuated shortly before 7am after a fire and the Victoria line was suspended between King’s Cross St Pancras and Walthamstow Central after the incident.
On the Piccadilly line, there was also a at Manor House, with passenger reporting smoke ‘coming from a train.’
TfL has since confirmed this was due to a “faulty train”.
A TfL spokesperson said: “We apologise to Victoria and Piccadilly line customers who faced disruption to their journeys this morning.
“This was caused by a now-extinguished trackside fire at Finsbury Park and a signal failure at Boston Manor.
“The Victoria line will be returning to a normal service soon and our engineers are working as quickly as possible at Boston Manor to restore a normal Piccadilly line service.”
