420 is an annual event that takes place on April 20 to support the use of marijuana. It is believed that 30,000 people joined the rally this year in London’s famous Hyde Park in a bid to protest existing laws surrounding the drug. It is widely promoted via social media and always causes controversy each year as many people are stull strongly against marijuana, and although usually peaceful, the event does have its share of arrests each year.
There are pro-drug rallies worldwide on April 20, but Hyde Park is known as the largest in the country.
This year’s event has brought about multiple Facebook pages promoting it with further details of the gathering at Hyde Park.
