A 24-year-old man is fighting for his life in hospital in a critical condition and another man, 25, is in a serious condition after a double stabbing last night at Elephant & Castle underground station.

British Transport Police say they were called just before 11.30pm. Met Police also attended the scene of the stabbing.

The victims were found out in the street suffering from stab wounds. Two men have been arrested in connection BTP said.

This comes after a man was left in a life- threatening condition after he was stabbed in Ilford on Saturday night as London faces its biggest knife-crime rise for decades.
