A man who was said to be armed with a “bread knife or a machete” has robbed a Co-Op in Bromley. 

Police have said that they were called to the shop on Cotmandene Crescent at 12.51pm today ( 21 July) to reports of a robbery.

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “It is believed the suspect, who was described as a black male, may have been in the company of another male.”

“Nobody was injured during the incident. No arrests have been made at this stage. Enquiries are ongoing.”

The suspect made off with over £100 in cash.
