A 14-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of murder over the fatal stabbing of teenager in Barking.
Santino Angelo Dymiter, 18, was found stabbed on Monday, August 26.
Police arrived at the scene of the violent stabbing shortly after 3.30pm, along with London Ambulance Service (LAS).
Santino, who is from from Plaistow, was pronounced dead at 4.33pm. A teenager was arrested on suspicion of murder at a property in Barking and currently remains in custody.
Chief Inspector Laurence Smith said: “Santino was stabbed in the street, in the middle of the afternoon,” detective chief inspector Laurence Smith.
“I am certain that this brutal attack, or the aftermath, will have been witnessed by a number of people, some of whom may not have come forward.
“The suspects fled the scene into Pelly Road, in a black Ford S-Max motor vehicle, which was found abandoned soon after in Stansfield Road, E16 with extensive damage and two flat tyres.”
